After you sign up, every effect you submit will be tracked throughout the month to determine if they reach 500+ video posts. Effects created before you signed up are ineligible and you will need to sign up again each month to participate.
There’s no theme or specific type of effect required. However, your effect must be interactive (no image-only effects) and follow our Community Guidelines.
Effects are reviewed before they are published, so it may take a day or more for your effect to go live. For example, if you submit your effect towards the end of the month, it may not go live until the following month.

Rewards will be available two months after the mission. For example, January Monthly Mission winners will be selected in February and their rewards will be available in March.

Yes, once you’ve signed up for a Monthly Mission, all your published effects from that month are eligible.
Congratulations! You can still participate in the mission for the remainder of the month. However, in the following month, you are encouraged to join a mission for Platinum and Diamond creators instead.
TikTok proudly presents the Effect House Monthly Mission (this “Mission”), a promotional competition where effect designers are Missiond to create Effect House Monthly Mission effects! The Mission will be held on a Monthly Basis as winners will be selected & rewards will be delivered once every month (UTC time). An unlimited number of rewards winners (“Rewards Winners”) will be eligible to obtain a cash reward. Effects that are used in 500 unique video posts within the first 14 days after release are eligible. Limit one (1) Reward per person.
